It looks outward as much as inward: meditating on anxiety (Afterglow), forbidden desire (Subconscious), the disconnection of modern life (Café Life), and the paradox of escapism (Ratbag Joy).

Written after nearly a decade away from music, the album is steeped in personal resilience. Songs like My Muse reflect the return to creativity as survival, rejecting trends in favour of honesty. Heads Are Round channels Francis Picabia into a spinning meditation on the “monkey brain,” while It’s Saturday and I’m High fuses existential dread with surreal humour — starring Batman, Kane’s French bulldog, who struts like Naomi Campbell.

At its core, Psychedelika is about perspective. How the mind bends, how love evolves, how the night hides as much as it reveals. Every track is a different lens — some playful, some devastating (Bite the Bullet), all rooted in a refusal to look away from life’s contradictions.

“Morpheus was the healing,” Kane says. “Psychedelika is the reawakening. It’s me stepping back into music, not to chase success or money, but because this is how I survive. This is how I make sense of the chaos — by turning it into sound.”
